What you'll do:

Position Title: SAP Ariba iXp Intern - Software Development

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Expected start date to end date: June 11th- Aug 17th

  • Uses their strong Object Oriented design and development skills in addition to exceptional analytical skills to develop new Ariba products
  • Takes ownership of features from definition through delivery
  • Works on the entire stack - UI, Middleware and backend.
  • Works closely with peers in a world-class product development organization to continually improve the quality and usability of components through an agile development process
  • Optimizes performance and tunes system behavior to make our largest customers successful

Who you are:

  • We're looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
  • Working on BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficient with OO programming and Java/J2EE
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent, highly motivated and energetic

Preferred

  • Quick learner with a passion for solving tough problems
  • Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills
  • Strong knowledge of relational database, SQL
  • Successful track record in writing high quality code
  • Good knowledge of computer science fundamentals and algorithms
  • Familiarity with Java based frameworks - Hibernate/Spring
  • Familiarity with writing test cases using JUnit
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environment
  • Familiarity with Angular, Javascript, JQuery, Maven, Tomcat, Maven, Jenkins will be helpful but not essential
